From December through April the cabins are accessible only by snowmobile or snowshoes. All bookings during this time must be arranged by speaking directly with the owner. It is a little more than a mile from where highway plowing ends up to the cabins. Depending on the weather guests might have to do some scooping to get into their cabin.
